This is a rare and unusual find! It's a 1940s skirt set that's giving me Meet Me in St. Louis vibes! The blouse is a fitted short sleeve style with eyelet sleeves and faux collar, bow tie at the top, and peplum back, and all the original buttons down the front. The skirt is an A-line shape with an eyelet double hem, and side buttons at the waist all on a purple and off white stripe. It is in good condition, eyelet areas have possibly yellowed? spot on top at left hip and two back near hem, and tiny spot on the front of skirt, back peplum has become unstitched, tiny armpit seam hole. Labeled "Junior Sweet Briar Origination", fabric is cotton, both pieces are unlined. The bust of the blouse measures 34 inches, the skirt waist 23 inches and the hips 35 inches. Length of blouse 19 inches, length of skirt 27 1/2 inches. Shown on a hanger form measuring Bust 30 inches, Waist 20 inches, Hips 30 inches. This is an authentic vintage piece in wearable condition, that was cleaned and repaired (if necessary).
